NYX Slide On Liner: Review + Swatches

From left to right: Azure, Jewel, Glitzy Gold, Sunrise Blue, Esmeralda, Golden Bronze, Pink Suede, Green Papaya, Tropical Green, and Golden Olive

The NYX Slide On Liners ($8 for 0.04oz) are said to be "silky soft yet deliver a powerful robust color to line eyes. The formula doesn't smear or smudge and provides extreme color. It’s like a liquid eye liner in a pencil without the mess."

These eyeliners truly are silky and soft. They glide on effortlessly and really pack a punch with the pigmentation. Because of its great pigmentation, these eyeliners can be used in place of a liquid liner to deliver the same crisp line of color. They work great on the waterline and last up to 8 hours. These eyeliners may be smudged for a smokey effect immediately after application, but be aware, these liners will set and stay put once dried. However, they are easily removed with makeup remover.

The NYX Slide On Liners come in 18 shades. They are a regular eye pencil, so they need to be sharpened. I have managed to grab all 18 of them. These eyeliners have quickly become some of my favorites! I love the color selection and the great pigmentation and staying power. The following are descriptions of the shades I own:

Azure: turquoise blue with silver shimmer
Jewel: deep plum with gold and plum shimmer
Glitzy Gold: pure metallic gold
Sunrise Blue: atlantic deep blue with blue and silver shimmer
Esmeralda: true green
Golden Bronze: metallic bronze
Pink Suede: soft pink with silver shimmer
Green Papaya: lime green with gold sheen
Tropical Green: deep forest green
Golden Olive: olive green with gold shimmer
Pure White: stark white
Black Sparkle: black with silver shimmer
Gun Metal: charcoal with charcoal shimmer
Jet Black: pure black
Brown Perfection: chocolate brown
Platinum: silver with silver shimmer
Pretty Violet: purple with blue iridescent
Purple Blaze: purple

Final Thoughts: I think these eyeliners are great! I reach for these more than any other type of eyeliner in my collection. I like using these on the waterline as they last upwards of 8 hours. I do enjoy the color selection and think that there is a color of everyone. I would definitely repurchase these liners once I run out. Have you tried them? What are your thoughts?

Where to buy: NYX Cosmetics, $8; ULTA, $7.99; and where ever else NYX Cosmetics are sold.
